take my hands

take My hand and walk where I lead
keep your eyes on me alone
don't you say why were the old days better
just because you're scared of the unknown

take My hand and walk where I lead
you will never be alone
faith is to be sure of what you hope for
and the evidence of things unseen
so take My hand and walk

just like a child
holding daddy's hand
don't let go of mine
you know you can't stand on your own

flash mob

Saw this when I was watching Oprah just now. More than 20,000 people pulled off a massive surprise for Oprah during the Oprah Show's 24th season kickoff party. The entire crowd performed a choreographed piece to the Black Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feeling,". Award-winning director Michael Gracey says the interaction between the Black Eyed Peas and the crowd is what made the flash mob so extraordinary.

Check out the flash mob that took over Chicago's Magnificent Mile.

As I was watching this, it reminds me of a video I saw during church service few months back. This is a promotion stunt for a Belgian television program.

Ipoh starwalk

For the first time in my life, I joined the Ipoh Starwalk two weeks back. Quite surprised at myself for being so excited about it. It has been quite a while since I had taken such a long walk. 7km? 10km? Wow... come to think of it now... How did I managed to finish the walk? Haha...

My goal was to finish the walk within the time limit and get a certificate. The determination was there... But as I walk.... half way through... my body starts to get tired.. with sore feet... Thoughts of I never reach there in time came and dampen my spirit. Felt like giving up at that time but I kept going hoping a miracle could happen? Hahaha.... And indeed, it was a miracle... i reached... i finish the race... and I got the certificate. Praise God for His strength.

It was indeed a good walk. It wasn't just a walk but rather a lesson for me as well. That walk reminds me of my life journey. Many of times in life, we tend to give up when things doesn't seem to go our way or things just didn't turned out the way we expect. And it is at this time we felt discouraged, not knowing what to do or where to go. But yet God is Almighty... He has a better plan for me... Without His strength, I wouldn't be able to finish that walk.... And it is the same with my life journey.

God, give me the strength to walk this journey with you.
That at the end of my life journey
I am able to say just as Paul did that
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

the Coke side of life

Nice Coca Cola ad.. Wonder why it isn't shown here.. Anyway, got this from a friend of mine and found it really ... errr.... uplifting? joyful? happy? hahaha.... Couldn't get the right word... just enjoyed listening to it.

Ahhh... ohhh
Well hello is this thing on
Is anybody listening
A brand new day has begun

The first thing that I want do
Make sure that you feel it too
So I'm not the only one

Cmon lift me up (its a brand new day)
Open up a lil happiness today
So I can be someone new
Cmon and lift me up (to a better way)
Open up a smile on another face
So I can (feel something new)

Open up some happiness
Open up some happiness
Open up some happiness

Ahem*Ahem* let me clear my throat
So you can hear clearly every word spoke
Today I woke feeling lovely
Happiness overflowin knowin somebody loves me
Just think yesterday I was down and out
Now there's not a single thing for me to frown about
And the same thing can happen to you
Smiling so hard my mouth look like a capital U

I want the sun to shine
All the time
Is that too much to ask
Oh, I want to have some fun
I want all my friends to come
Cause it's now or never
Learn the words and sing together

Cmon lift me up (its a brand new day)
Open up a lil happiness today
So I can be someone new
Cmon and lift me up (to a better way)
Open up a smile on another face
So I can (feel something new)

Open up some happiness
Open up some happiness
Open up some happiness

Your heart deserves your trust
A choice made for all of us
The sun will come back tomorrow
There's a message in a bottle
So come on I'll meet you there
There's enough sunshine to share
As long as you know
The bridge between us is a rainbow

Cmon lift me up (its a brand new day)
Open up a lil happiness today
So I can be someone new
Cmon and lift me up (to a better way)
Open up a smile on another face
So I can (feel something new)

Open up some happiness
Open up some happiness
Open up some happiness

Flood

Rain, rain on my face
It hasn't stopped raining for days
My world is a flood
Slowly I become one with the mud

[Chorus:]
But if I can't swim after forty days
and my mind is crushed by the thrashing waves
Lift me up so high that I cannot fall
Lift me up
Lift me up - when I'm falling
Lift me up - I'm weak and I'm dying
Lift me up - I need you to hold me
Lift me up - Keep me from drowning again

Downpour on my soul
Splashing in the ocean, I'm losing control
Dark sky all around
I can't feel my feet touching the ground

Calm the storms that drench my eyes
Dry the streams still flowing
Cast down all the waves of sin
And guilt that overthrow me

Lift me up - when I'm falling
Lift me up - I'm weak and I'm dying
Lift me up - I need you to hold me
Lift me up - Keep me from drowning again

A Glimmer of Hope?

The worst thing for the world economy would be to assume the worst is over.

Welcome to an era of diminished expectations and continuing dangers; a world where policymakers must steer between the imminent threat of deflation while countering investors (reasonable) fears that swelling public debts and massive monetary easing could eventually lead to high inflation; an uncharted world where government borrowing reaches a scale not seen since the second world war, when capital controls ensured that savings stayed at home.

How to cope with these dangers? Certainly not by clutching at scraps of better news. That risks leading to less action right now. Warding off deflation, for instance, will demand more unconventional steps from more central banks for longer than many now seem to foresee. Laggards, such as the European Central Bank, do themselves and the world no favours by holding back. Nor should governments immediately seek to take back the fiscal stimulus. Prolonged economic weakness does far greater damage to public finances than temporary fiscal activism. Remember how Japan snuffed out its recovery in the 1990s by rushing to raise taxes.

Japan also put off bank reform. Countries facing big balance-sheet adjustments should heed that lesson and nudge reform along, in particular by doing more to clean up and restructure the banks. Countries with surpluses must encourage private spending at home more vigorously. Chinas leaders are still doing too little to boost private citizens income and their spending by fostering reforms, from widening health-care coverage to forcing state-owned firms to pay higher dividends.

At the same time policymakers must give themselves room to change course in the future. Central banks need to lay out the rules that will govern their exit from exotic forms of policy easing (see article). That may require new tools: the Federal Reserve would gain from being able to issue bonds that could mop up liquidity. All governments, especially those with the ropiest public finances, should think boldly about how to lower their debt ratios in the medium termin ways that do not choke off nascent private demand. Rather than pushing up tax rates, they should think about raising retirement ages, reining in health costs and broadening the tax base.

This weekend many of the worlds finance ministers and central bankers will meet in Washington, DC, for the spring meetings of the IMF and World Bank. Amid rising confidence, they will be tempted to pat themselves on the back. There is no time for that. The worst global slump since the Depression is far from finished. There is work to do.

The Climb

I stumble upon this song as I was searching for another song. Not a fan of Miley Cyrus but yet found that the lyrics of this song is really nice.

I can almost see it
That dream I'm dreaming but
There's a voice inside my head sayin,
You'll never reach it,
Every step I'm taking,
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction
My faith is shaking but I
Got to keep trying
Got to keep my head held high

There's always going to be another mountain
I'm always going to want to make it move
Always going to be an uphill battle,
Sometimes you going to have to lose,
Ain't about how fast I get there,
Ain't about what?s waiting on the other side
It's the climb

The struggles I'm facing,
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes they knock me down but
No I'm not breaking
I may not know it
But these are the moments that
I'm going to remember most yeah
Just got to keep going
And I,
I got to be strong
Just keep pushing on, cause

There's always going to be another mountain
I'm always going to want to make it move
Always going to be an uphill battle,
Sometimes I'm going to have to lose,
Ain't about how fast I get there,
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

There's always going to be another mountain
I'm always going to want to make it move
Always going to be an uphill battle,
Sometimes you going to have to lose,
Ain't about how fast I get there,
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

Keep on moving
Keep climbing
Keep the faith baby
It's all about
It's all about
The climb
Keep the faith
Keep your faith

Earth Hour - Let's Make A Difference

What began as a campaign to get Sydneysiders to turn their lights off, has grown to become one of the world’s biggest climate change initiatives. In 2009, at 8.30pm on March 28, people around the world will turn their lights for one hour – Earth Hour. We’re aiming to reach one billion people, more than 1000 cities, all joining together in a global effort to show that its possible to take action on global warming.

Earth Hour started in 2007 in Sydney, Australia with 2.2 million homes and businesses turning their lights off for one hour. Only a year later and this event had become a global sustainability movement with up to 50 million people across 35 countries participating. Global landmarks such as theEmpire State Building (New York City), Sears Tower (Chicago), Golden Gate Bridge (San Francisco), Bank of America Plaza (Atlanta), Sydney Opera House (Sydney, Australia), Wat Arun Buddhist Temple (Bangkok, Thailand), the Colosseum (Rome, Italy), Royal Castle (Stockholm, Sweden), London's City Hall (England), Space Needle (Seattle), the CN Tower (Toronto, Canada) and SM Mall of Asia & The Giant Globe (Manila, Philippines), all stood in darkness, as symbols of hope for a cause that grows more urgent by the hour.

Earth Hour 2009 is a global call to action to every individual, every business and every community. A call to stand up, to take responsibility and to get involved in working towards a sustainable future. Iconic buildings and landmarks from America to Australia will stand in darkness. People across the world will turn off their lights and join together in creating the vital conversation about the future of our precious planet.

Over 74 countries and territories are participating in Earth Hour 2009. This number grows every day as people realise how such a simple act, can have such a profound result in affecting change.

Earth Hour is a message of hope and a message of action. Everyone can make a difference.

Conversation

Got this from a friend of mine. Great article to share with all on an excellent conversation between 'God' and an unknown 'Me'. Worth reading. Credits to the unknown composer

God: Hello. Did you call me?

Me: Called you? No.. Who is this ?

God: This is GOD. I heard your prayers. So I thought I will chat.

Me: I do pray. Just makes me feel good. I am actually busy now. I am in the midst of something.

God: What are you busy at? Ants are busy too.

Me: Don't know. But I can't find free time. Life has become hectic. It's rush hour all the time.

God: Sure. Activity gets you busy. But productivity gets you results. Activity consumes time. Productivity frees it.

Me: I understand. But I still can't figure out. By the way, I was not expecting YOU to buzz me on instant messaging chat.

God: Well I wanted to resolve your fight for time, by giving you some clarity. In this net era, I wanted to reach you through the medium you are comfortable with.

Me: Tell me, why has life become complicated now?

God: Stop analyzing life. Just live it. Analysis is what makes it complicated.

Me: Why are we then constantly unhappy?

God: Your today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday.You are worrying because you are analyzing. Worrying has become your habit.That's why you are not happy.

Me: But how can we not worry when there is so much uncertainty?

God: Uncertainty is inevitable, but worrying is optional.

Me: But then, there is so much pain due to uncertainty. .

God: Pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional.

Me: If suffering is optional, why do good people always have to suffer?

God: Diamond cannot be polished without friction. Gold cannot be purified without fire. Good people go through trials, but don't suffer. With that experience their life become better and not bitter.

Me: You mean to say such experience is useful?

God: Yes. In every terms, Experience is a hard teacher. She gives the test first and the lessons afterwards.

Me: But still, why should we go through such tests? Why can't we be free from problems?

God: Problems are Purposeful Roadblocks Offering Beneficial Lessons (to) Enhance Mental Strength. Inner strength comes from struggle and endurance, not when you are free from problems.

Me: Frankly in the midst of so many problems, we don't know where we are heading...

God: If you look outside you will not know where you are heading. Look inside. Looking outside, you dream. Looking inside, you awaken. Eyes provide sight. Heart provides insight.

Me: Sometimes not succeeding fast seems to hurt more than moving in the right direction. What should I do?

God: Success is a measure as decided by others. Satisfaction is a measure as decided by you. Knowing the road ahead is more satisfying than knowing your road ahead. You work with the compass. Let others work with the clock.

Me: In tough times, how do you stay motivated?

God: Always look at how far you have come rather than how far you have to go. Always count your blessing, not what you are missing.

Me: What surprises you about people?

God: When they suffer they ask, "why me?" When they prosper, they never ask "Why me". Everyone wishes to have truth on their side, but few want to be on the side of the truth.

Me: Sometimes I ask, who am I, why am I here. I can't get the answer.

God: Seek not to find who you are, but to determine who you want to be.Stop looking for a purpose as to why you are here. Create it. Life is not merely a process of discovery but a process of co-creation. You are my co-creator.

Me: How can I get the best out of life?

God: Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear.

Me: One last question. Sometimes I feel my prayers are not answered.

God: There are no unanswered prayers. At times the answer is NO.

Me: Thank you for this wonderful chat.

God: Well. Keep the faith and drop the fear. Don't believe your doubts and don't doubt your beliefs. Life is a mystery to solve not a problem to resolve. Trust me. Life is wonderful if you know how to live. "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that took our breath away!

Eclipse

On the 9th of February 2009, I took all my gears.. Getting ready to snap some pics of the eclipse. I was told by my dad that there'll be eclipse that night approximate 10pm ++. Well, of course I went out early to set up the tripod, camera settings and etc.. I even thought of taking a video of the eclipse.. -_- And so... 1 hour passed and I was sweating and feeling sticky... Wondering whether did my dad play a trick on me.. Haha... At around 11.10pm, I gave up.. Pack up all my stuff.. Feeling unsatisfied, I went to search about this eclipse since they said that it was stated in the newspaper. And guess what I found..?? It was stated in The Star newpaper that the penumbral eclipse would be on the 9th February 2009 from 8.38pm to 12.37am on Tuesday, with the greatest eclipse occurring at 10.28pm. True enough there's an eclipse but it's a penumbral eclipse... @_@ And there I was expecting a full eclipse... *sweat*

Anyway, I manage to snap a few pics of the moon. Do you see the eclipse? Hmm... Not too sure whether it's the eclipse or just clouds blocking. Haha...

Change

Someone was just talking about change today. And it somehow got me thinking as well. Kinda inspired me to be the change instead of waiting for change to happen. I guess it's always the hardest things to do but yet somehow... we just need to start somewhere... So, let us welcome change into our lives..

Welcome Change

.: by Gina Whitacre :.

Change is inevitable,
But yet we fight it, just the same.

Change is essential to our evolution.

Change is going to happen,
In fact, it happens every day,
Maybe it is too small to see, or perhaps we would rather not see it.

We fight change, because we fight the unknown,
We fight the unknown, because we are scared,
Scared of change, scared of the unknown.

If we were to allow change to happen freely,
We might find solutions to the problems that exist around us,
But instead, we are hung - up on controlling everything around us.

Maybe this is the problem with the world today.
Everyone assumes control of everything and does not allow nature to run her course.

Maybe this is why, we have devastating fall out from Nature,
Natural catastrophic disasters, such as fire and flooding.

We fight change, therefore we are fighting nature and her natural being and her existence
in the world that she has created by God’s hand and has graciously allowed us to be a
part of .

We should welcome change and allow nature to control our destiny.

Change is uncontrollable,
Change is inevitable,
Change is the unknown.

Nature takes pride in being one of life’s illusive wonders, the unknown.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.
Journey
"The road of life twist and turns and no two directions are ever the same. Yet our lessons come from the journey, not the destination."
I have to want to leave the ground
I've fallen hard
But I've been loved
And in the end it all works out
